Dangers of Fluoride - Fluoride Should Not Be Given to Babies Or Children

We took our child to the dentist the other day and the dentist was pushing fluoride on us. She had me so scared because our kid had 4 cavities ... that I was stupid enough to pay the dentist $20 for a small bottle of fluoride.
The Dental Hygienist told me to take the fluoride and put it on the floss... and then floss in-between my child's teeth... as well as put fluoride on her teeth every night.
She told me she has been putting fluoride on her kid's teeth ever since they were really small and that they never get cavities.
So I bought into it... and also bought the fluoride.
After thinking about it on the way home, I decided to research the dangers of fluoride as I had vaguely remembered hearing that fluoride was dangerous for you at some point in my life.
What I learned was frightening.
Fluoride is actually a toxin that is detrimental to your body and your brain.
I learned that in November of 2006, the ADA (American Dental Association) said to keep fluoride away from babies under the age of one year old! They sent an email that said, "Infants less than one year old may be getting more than the optimal amount of fluoride if their primary source of nutrition is powdered or liquid infant formula mixed with water containing fluoride... If using a product that needs to be reconstituted, parents and caregivers should consider using water that has no or low levels of fluoride."
If you do some research, you will also see that fluoride has also been linked to lower IQ's in children as well as brain damage in animals... dental fluorosis in young children ... and increase in risk of bone fractures later on in life.
So if you know of anyone who makes formula from tap water, make sure you let them know about this.
Or especially if you know anyone who uses "Nursery Water"... which specifically includes "added fluoride" to their water, make sure they know that fluoride can be dangerous to their baby's health.
